Female studier

30 april – 30 may 2021
Driftkontoret, Viborg, DK

Cardboard as a malleable material. Blue with rivets like jeans. The vase as a symbol of fertility. Female shapes like Venus from Willendorf. A common conceptual world - hips, vulva, shoulders, lips.

"In Pernille Pontoppidan Pedersen's work, the plinth is often an integrated or built-in element. The plinth as a base for form studies of the duality of aesthetics as well as the transformation of an object into sculpture. She explores this with great curiosity and finds the almost lost method of higher status interesting as a cornerstone of the study of the infinite possibilities of materials."

Residence at Bruunshåb Gl. Papfabrik in spring 2021. Exhibited at the artist-run exhibitionspace Driftskontoret located at Bruunshåb Gl. Papfabrik, Viborg in Denmark.
